IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Our office is now open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. We are closed on state holidays.

Inspections occur Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  We do ask that you call or email us at least 48 hours ahead to ensure we have a spot in our schedule.  Please call the inspection line at (360) 360-0072. If you reach the voicemail, please provide the permit number or address, type of inspection you're requesting and a good call back number.  *Please note* an adult of 18 years and older is required to be present at time of inspection.

PERMITTING & BUILDING

  • Provide permits for development activities
  • Ensure new development is built according to safety standards
  • Keep residents safe by providing code enforcement
  • Help to provide guidance for mitigating impacts to critical areas

LONG RANGE PLANNING

  • Create plans for future growth within the community
  • Adjust existing plans with community input
  • Oversee the annexation process
  • Make amendments to the City of Chehalis municipal code and zoning
