ART WALK

For the second year, downtown business owners will be displaying the work of local artists and fine-crafts people from ARTrails of Southwest Washington.  Stroll through Historic Downtown Chehalis at participating businesses from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and enjoy the creative side of Planes, Trains and Automobiles.  We currently have room for more artists and fine crafts people. ANNUAL BLUEBERRY PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Kick off a day of fun at Planes, Trains & Automobiles with a delicious Blueberry Pancake Breakfast offered by the Lewis County Historical Museum from 8:00 to 11:30 am.  This annual, all-you-can-eat breakfast is $5 per person and includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice.  The museum is located at 599 NW Front Way in Historic Downtown Chehalis.

CHARIOTS CAR CLUB 5TH ANNUAL CAR SHOW

Check out 125+ classic cars at the Chariots Car Club 5th Annual Car Show on Market Boulevard from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.  See what your vehicle could look like with a new set of wheels at the Les Schwab wheel trailer. The Backfire Band, and Neil Rush and the Statics will be on the stage at Boistfort Street, plus The Wolfman will be serving up the oldies. The Chariots Car Club 5th Annual Car Show is presented by Grocery Outlet and Les Schwab Tires.

RALLYCROSS

The Oregon Rally Group will have a two-day RallyCross at 2788 Jackson Highway near the Port of Chehalis office from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm both days.  The RallyCross  includes individual automobiles racing against the clock around a course delineated by cones. Ordinary, street-legal vehicles divided into several classes will compete, with winners determined by the shortest time after multiple runs, including any penalties for deviating from the course or knocking over cones. The event is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). For additional details, fees, rules & regulations, and registration information, visit Oregon Rally Group.

STEAM TRAIN RIDES

Relax and enjoy a ride on the Chehalis-Centralia Steam Train.  Take a 12-mile journey to Milburn through beautiful wooded forests, old farmsteads, country homes, and tranquil nature sites. If you want to spend more time on the train, the 18-mile run through Ruth is for you. This extended run follows alongside the Chehalis River’s lush riverbanks, forests, and farmlands. Visit select merchants in Historic Downtown Chehalis for free tickets courtesy of the Port of Chehalis.  The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum is located at 1101 SW Sylvenus Street, Chehalis (Exit 77).

ANNUAL PIONEER PIE SOCIAL

The Lewis County Historical Museum will hold their Annual Pioneer Pie Social beginning at 1:30 pm at the Museum located at 599 NW Front Way in Historic Downtown Chehalis.  This year’s social has been moved to the Museum to celebrate its 100th Anniversary. Music, pie auction, pie by the slice for sale, and everyone's favorite ~ Chicken Bingo, with the winner receiving a gift certificate to Mary McCrank’s. Appearances by Little Miss Friendly and 2012 Miss Lewis County Dairy Ambassador, Jennifer Swenson.
