During winter storm events, citizens can call the Chehalis Public Works Department at 360.748.0238 - Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for snow, ice or flooding issues within the city. For after hour emergencies please call central dispatch at 360.740.1105.

Note: During a “declared” event, sandbags are provided, on a case-by-case basis, to citizens living within the Chehalis city limits. Sandbags are available at 2007 NE Kresky. Other locations may be designated as necessary during an event.

During a snow or ice event, the major streets and school zones throughout the city are sanded and/or plowed then the secondary arterials with neighborhood streets last (see http://ci.chehalis.wa.us for details).

City and County road closures are posted on the County’s website at lewiscountywa.gov. This website also has information regarding resources available to Lewis County residents or you can call Lewis County Public Services during normal business hours at 360.740.1123 x1123.
