The Chehalis Community Renaissance Team and the city of Chehalis on Friday will unveil a new Chehalis “wayfinding sign” at City Hall.

At 11 a.m., the 5 foot by 3 foot sign will be unveiled, giving the city and public a first peek at what the new 32 wayfinding signs in the city will look like.

The signs are part of the city’s new renaissance plan. They use the city’s new color scheme and adopted city logo.

They’ll be placed at various points to direct visitors to Chehalis landmarks, such as the Lewis County Historical Museum, Chehalis-Centralia Airport, Vernetta Smith Timberland Regional Library, Veterans Memorial Museum, parks and trails and other places of interest.

The Chehalis Renaissance Plan is a 15- to 20-year projects plan for community buildings, economic development, and traffic and parking.
