Access to Court Records

Access to judicial records is governed by court rules and not the Public Records Act (PRA).  There are two types of judicial records addressed by court rules:  court (or case) records and administrative records. 

Court Case Records - GR 31

Case records are records that relate to in-court proceedings including case files, pleadings, and dockets. 

To request copies of documents filed in a specific case, fill out the Court Records Request Form.  You can submit the request by mailing, emailing, or faxing the form to the Chehalis Municipal Court, 350 N. Market Blvd, Rm. 105, Chehalis, WA 98532,  Email  municourt@ci.chehalis.wa.us  FAX 360-345-1050.

Administrative Records - GR 31.1

Administrative records are records that pertain to the management, supervision or administration of a court or judicial agency.  To request administrative records per GR 31.1, contact the Chehalis Municipal Court, 350 N.
