Equipment Operator 1

The City of Chehalis is taking applications for the position of Equipment Operator 1.   This is a full time, Teamsters represented position with a 2023 salary range of $50,688 to $61,608 plus medical, dental, retirement and other benefits.

This position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work related to the installation, construction, maintenance, repair and care of public works infrastructure and facilities.  Work involves the use and operation of construction equipment, and other machinery and equipment required for the installation, construction, repair, and maintenance of street surfaces and public works infrastructure and facilities.  

Operates trucks, specialized vehicles and other construction equipment such as dump trucks, tractor mowers, snow plows, pesticide applicators, backhoes, broom tractors, street sweepers, chip spreaders and oil distributors required for Public Works construction, repair and maintenance projects.

At time of appointment must possess a valid Washington State Drivers License and Class "A" Commercial Drivers License with “N” tanker endorsement and a good driving record.
